Best Buy Project
When Best Buy decided to consolidate their 14 separate locations into one corporate campus it looked to Opus Northwest to build and manage this construction.
The new 1.6 million square foot campus is on 43 acres in Richfield along interstate 494 and Penn Avenue. It consists of two six story and two eight story office building and parking structure, which are connected by the “Hub,” which is a 100,000 square foot commons area.
Dalco Roofing and Sheet Metal, Inc. was a part of this team to provide roofing and waterproofing services for one area largest corporate centers. The primary office and common areas (300,000 sq. ft.) has a Firestone built up roof assembly with a gravel surfacing. The waterproofing consisted of a liquid applied system provided by American Hydrotech, Inc. Each of these systems has a design life in excess of 20 years.
